Earlier this week I heard someone skipping with a skipping rope in the driveway. It was my oldest, Giancarlo - doing some exercise before he went to the Gym.
Great shots of your son. Skipping rope is fun but when I tried to do that some years back for exercise I couldn't believe how tired I got. Much harder than I recall from my youth. This was a wonderful take on the theme. Happy weekend.
Teeheehee... have to say that the last collage -- with those words there -- made me laugh (though not necessarily at the very fit Giancarlo or adoring-son you!)
Teeheehee! Nice touch with the scrapbooking frames.
Back when I was very young, I know I could jump rope. Then one day in high school, I tried, and couldn't. Somehow, my coordination for that act was lost. I can barely get 3 - 5 hops in before my feet get tangled up!
This week, I entered twice: two similar settings yet two totally different takes. Do check them out here and here.
It has been longer than long since I skipped rope. Of course I remember when hula hoops first came out and they were never easy to do either! Great shots. Mine is up here.
Great choice, Leslie! I'm going to borrow your perfect phrase.
The lace shop is called Emilia and it is very close to the main church in Burano and to the Lace Museum. They have a showroom/museum on the second floor. Your amethyst pashmina must be really lovely and a great reminder of the beauty of Burano.

A gentle reminder
I don't get back in again a second time to your blog comments, to see if you have replied back to me. So please reply to me on here. :) I'm really sorry, there just aren't enough hours in my day!

Oh how terrible. Two evil words in one sentence!
"Exercise" and "Gym". I think I need to sit down for an extended period of time to recover from hearing them.
The photo is great so I shall forgive you ;)
Look at those flexed muscles! He must have known you'd put the photo up on your blog! ;)
My Photo Hunt is up! I hope you get a chance to visit me, too.
