More black cockatoos

Hey Maria - I had never seen them before this year either. They arrived earlier in the year from down south, where they were forced to leave because of the bushfires. They are very noisy and very tame. Giancarlo walked in an hour after I posted the youtube and said they were still in the tree outside the front door. He walked past them and was only about five feet away from them.

What a lovely bird! How sad it was chased out of it's original home by fire though.

Hi Leslie, great photos and a really cool design. I'm not sure that I've seen a black cockatoo before. Great post Leslie!

Have a great day!

Good to see you included these black wonders in another post! They are certainly an amazing sight both in a tree and in flight! I am still amazed that I saw some for the first time recently too! But I was driving!

Catching up after a week away from the computer. Thanks for posting more photos of the fascinating black cockatoos. I see a yellow spot on the side. Sad to hear that they were forced to leave their habitat.
