Hi guys! Townsville used to be made up of two councils- Townsville and Thuringowa. They amalgamated earlier this year. Thuringowa had the black cockatoo as a mascot. They are meant to be good luck:) We think they are super cool.

merry christmas Leslie!

I hope you had a good day in Canberra, not sure what the weather was like, haven't seen that today for down there, but I'm sure it was nice...very hot here

hope you got some nice pressies, I got some great new books that I'm savouring, mostly cookery books

remember that book, you asked me if it's good? it's really good, all about her and hubby travelling and eating in europe, so far from Munich down through Greece and into Turkey - was wondering if you'd like me to send it to you after I've finished?

happy days! what could be better than slobbing around reading all day at christmas...

A black cockatoo is something I don't see every day. Any day, come to think of it. Nice Christmas present! Thank you.

Very cool! Was it in your backyard?

That is so beautiful. Thank you for getting a video and posting it. It sounds like you don't see them very often. Do they make a lot of noise? The Black Parrots I saw in WA were raised such a racket. I think the Cockatoo is nicer looking.
