PhotoHunt: Clouds

This is my latest entry.

San Gimignano dawn, early morning clouds and mist - September 2006, photo taken by my sister on one of our trips together. I took Alessandro there last October.

The photo was taken from the balcony of Hotel La Cisterna that they filmed a scene from the movie Tea With Mussolini on. It's in San Gimignano, just south of Florence.

G'day from Melbourne,

Thank you for the visit and the comment. We've spent a lot of time in Canberra and love it.

You live in a beautiful art of the world, especially in winter.

What a great shot this is. Very redolent of my own teenage years in boarding school in Darjeeling, where we could look down (literally) on clouds and mist!

Beautiful shot. We get quite a bit of temperature inversion at this time of year. This morning, Ryan's soccer match was at 8am. The mist was just beginning to rise as we drove up the hill to Belair.

Leslie, that photo is spectacular! I dream of some day staying at La Cisterna, I love Tea with Muss. Of course, it would be even more fun to be staying there with Cher, and Judi Dench, and Maggie Smith.....
