There's a story that goes with the photos of San Antimo Abbey - I was at Montalcino and I had just picked out a ceramic coaster from a little shop. It had a picture on it that was labelled "San Antimo". I asked the shop keeper if it was nearby and got the directions.
Pure luck led me here. I was after a coaster, and as well, I got a memorable country drive and a visit to a very beautiful abbey.
